This article will explain how to set up your Interactive Home smart plug's/switches using our app.

First, you must hold the power button down for 5 seconds to initiate pairing mode (Status flashing fast)


There are two setup modes, AP Mode and SmartConfig


SmartConfig


(Recommended) This setup is the fastest and most easy connection method:
(Status flashing fast)


The mobile phone will broadcast the net-pairing information; the device will connect to the router when it receives this information.



  1. Connect your mobile to the wifi you want your plug/switch to be connected to. (Must be a 2.4GHz band)

  2. Power on your plug/switch until you see a fast flashing red light. (2 times a second)

  3. When the red status light is flashing rapidly, you are ready to pair the device with our app.

  4. Select "Add Device" (or "+" in the top right).

  5. Select your smart plug/switch device.

  6. Confirm Status light is flashing rapidly then click "Next Step".

  7. Input WiFi password here then select "Confirm".

  8. The app should start it's searching process for the plug/switch. (Light should change from flashing red to solid blue when found)

  9. The plug/switch will start its connection process to our cloud.


Once the cloud connection is complete, you can rename your plug/switch and select the desired room location.


 


AP Mode


This setup is more manual than the others:
(status flashing slow)


The mobile phone will transmit the net-pairing information by connecting to the plug's/switches hotspot.



  1. Connect your mobile to the wifi you want your plug/switch to be connected to. (Must be a 2.4GHz band)

  2. Power on your plug/switch until you see a slow flashing red light. (1 time a second)

  3. If the status light is flashing rapidly, please hold down the power button for 5 seconds, this will switch the plug/switch into AP Mode.

  4. Wait for plug/switch power up and start slow flashing

  5. Select "Add Device" (or "+" in the top right).

  6. Select your smart plug/switch device.

  7. Select "Otherwise" in the top right corner then select "AP Mode".

  8. Confirm Status light is flashing slowly then click "Next Step".

  9. Input WiFi password here then select "Confirm".

  10. Navigate to your WiFi selection on your mobile device and select "Smart Life_XXXX".

  11. Navigate back to our app as it should start the pairing process for your plug/switch. (Light should change from flashing red to solid blue when found)

  12. The plug/switch will start its connection process to our cloud.


Once the cloud connection is complete, you can rename your plug/switch and select the desired room location.
