This article will explain how to set up your Interactive Home smart camera using our app.


There are three setup modes, QR Mode, AP Mode and SmartConfig


QR Mode


(Recommended) This setup is simple and straight forward:
(Red light flashing fast)


Use the camera to scan the QR code on the mobile phone which contains the net-pairing information.



  1. Connect to the wifi you want your camera to be connected to. (Must be a 2.4GHz band)

  2. Power on your camera and await the launch chime tone.

  3. When the red status light is flashing rapidly, you are ready to pair the device with our app.

  4. Select "Add Device" (or "+" in the top right).

  5. Select "Smart Camera".

  6. Confirm Status light is flashing rapidly then click "Next Step".

  7. Input WiFi password here then select "Confirm".

  8. Select "Continue" and hold QR code in front of camera lens 15-20CM away.

  9. When you here a chime tone, select "Heard the beep" then your camera starts the connection process to our cloud.


Once the cloud connection is complete, you can rename your camera and select the desired room location.


 


AP Mode


This setup is more manual than the others:
(Red light flashing slow)


The mobile phone will transmit the net-pairing information by connecting to the camera's hotspot.


NOTE: Not all cameras support AP mode



  1. Connect to the wifi you want your camera to be with. (Must be a 2.4GHz band)

  2. Power on your camera and await the launch chime tone.

  3. If the status light is flashing rapidly, please hold down the reset button for 5 seconds (or until you hear the power on chime tone) this will switch the camera into AP Mode.

  4. Wait for camera power up and relaunch chime tone.

  5. Select "Add Device" (or "+" in the top right).

  6. Select "Smart Camera".


  7. Select "Otherwise" in the top right corner then select "AP Mode".

  8. Confirm Status light is flashing slowly then click "Next Step".

  9. Input WiFi password here then select "Confirm".

  10. Navigate to your WiFi selection on your mobile device and select "Smart Life_XXXX".

  11. Navigate back to our app, and it should start the connection process to our cloud.


Once the cloud connection is complete, you can rename your camera and select the desired room location.


 


SmartConfig


This setup is the fastest and easiest connection method:
(Red light flashing slow)


The mobile phone will broadcast the net-pairing information; the camera will connect to the router when it receives this information.



  1. Connect to the wifi you want your camera to be connected to(Must be a 2.4GHz band)

  2. Power on your camera and await the launch chime tone.

  3. When the red status light is flashing rapidly, you are ready to pair the device with our app.

  4. Select "Add Device" (or "+" in the top right).

  5. Select "Smart Camera".

  6. Confirm Status light is flashing rapidly then click "Next Step".

  7. Input WiFi password here then select "Confirm".

  8. The app should start it's searching process for the camera. (Light should change from flashing red to solid blue when found)

  9. The camera will start its connection process to our cloud.


Once the cloud connection is complete, you can rename your camera and select the desired room location.
